Here's a clue dumbass, point the indicator up or down so the tip isnt at 80
degrees? That's why that setup you have is so ridiculous. A cheap ass
surface gage with a ball on the end of the rod without that stupid square
stand gimmic would be more accurate and you could actually "see" the part
your checking. The best gage in the world is the part your checking, or a
1-2-3 block thats parallel. Not a giant piece of granit. Damn they seen you
coming for sure.
If I was in California I'd be pissed, your giving the impression people
there are retarded.

The pic is a true classic.

Maybe we earned that rip.......Jon is not California native, he had to
travel cross country with a few stops in between in order to finally
find a company here in California clueless enough to hire and willing
to pay more than minimum wage for Jon's skill set.

Come on you guys, lighten up. I ASKED him to post the picture of the
master in another post.
And looking back to the original picture I now see it in the
background. I wasn't expecting it to be so large.

But Jon, you said there was a shortage of machinists in San Diego.

You know that is where I told you I never had a problem hiring
machinists in San Diego and it was more likely a shortage of machinist
willing to work for operator wages.

The business owners you listened to were complaining they couldn't
find good machinists for $17.00-$19.00 per hour, that's $3.50-$6.50
less per hour than what YOU JUST called BELLOW POVERTY LEVEL for the
area.

So Jon, can you now answer what you feel is the going wage for a
journeyman machinist in San Diego?
