Before I forget to post em...this is something I bought last week.
Little miller that we are going to be using in our shop.

http://picasaweb.google.com/gunnerasch/VanNorman36#

Came with about 500 lbs of tooling and another 200lbs of cutters etc
etc. I think there is every accessory in the catalog with the machine.

I think I did ok for $1500? Course..cost another $350 to move it..shrug

The machine had been rebuilt 12 yrs ago, according to the records and
has been used very little since then.

Ill post some additional pictures of the tooling etc. The gomer in the
photos is my partner.

Gunner, off to LA

Oh..btw..the owner has a georgious #2 Milwaukee mill with a pretty
decent amount of tooling for $1k, if anyone is interested.
Location Brea, California.

I think..think they can be talked down to about $500ish

The fact that you mention how many pounds of tooling came with it speaks
volumes of why such shops go under. Unless one has a niche product that
does not require competitive machining techniques, that machine is a
boat anchor - hence the price per pound sale. Ok for a little home shop
(though a bit big) but a huge waste of money for any shop trying to stay
in business. You paid scrap metal rates which is what is is worth.

That is some heavy duty machine, Gunner. How do you plan to power it? Will
there be enough oomph
in the power drop to your shop?
