Does anyone know how to open an Amprobe RS-1, the old black one with
the rotary analog scale? I have one that reads low. It has a cal
sticker that suggests it may have been modified.

TIA

No, not modified, "calibrated". Any shop doing investigative or QC
testing will regularly have their instruments re-calibrated. ('taint
cheap, neither).

I have had several meters repaired and calibrated there. They are
reasonably priced and will give you a quote before repairs start.
