When you put a regulator onto a CO2 cylinder, you need a compressible washer.
See http://www.concoa.com/index.php?pagetype=showRef&id=11&ref=10&cga=320
for an illustration.

It used to be that when I filled my little 20 pound CO2 cylinder, that the
welding supply would give me a new washer. Last time, they said they don't have
those washers anymore. (Gasket? Washer? .. dunno)

Anyone know of a certain source for these? I'd like to buy about 4 of 'em.

Thanks,

Last time I had this problem I cut one from red fibre sheet using
appropriate sized wad punches.

I've used a piece of cardboard in a pinch. Sounds like BS to me that a gas
house doen't have an integral part of a very common gas delivery system.
Surely someone else locally would have these for you.

Quick google search revealed:

Good luck,

I can't recall having seen a washer on a CO2 fitting on a bulk bottle
(AKA commerial fitting). I've filled a fair few airgun cylinders off
soda fountain and draft dispenser bottles over the years.

I'd say that you could part off a suitable washer from some delrin
rod, if you felt the need, or check in the assorted bulk hardware bins
at a Home Depot or similar borg store.

Maybe they just don't give them away anymore. They might be happy to
sell you one or ten.
