I filled my Camry today, 61.4 L / 16.16 USG @ $1.529 / L $5.81 USG
total $93.88 12km/l or 28.33 m/usg or 33.88 m/(real)g
That was at the lowest price in Perth south of the river, some
prices were over $1.60 per litre

$4.73 per US gallon yesterday here in Los Angeles.
We'll certianly see $5.00 gas by summers end. What is more than a little
interesting is that the volume sold in America has been declining since the
first of this year. We've cut about 600,000 bbl per day from the 20,000,000
that we were using.

Sure it does.
Supply and demand haven't been driving the market for a while now.
This is the reason that participation in the futures markets used to be
limited by regulation.
The result we are seeing is the result of a market that has truly been freed
for the most part.
To you and I that means we are seen as free to be f****d over all the way to
the last dime and a fair thee well.
Producers are reluctant to increase production because they don't see the
demand for more product.
They are not, however, going to refuse offers that exceed what would
otherwise be considered reasonable. Why should they?
