I sold a Myford ML7... Trevor Jones 04-06-2006

A couple years back I sold a ML7 to a guy in Victoria BC, after he
contacted me on my mention that I had one for sale.

That would be sometime after about 2001-2003 time frame, several
computers ago.

The short of it is that a set of jaws (outside gripping, 3 jaw) for one
of the Burnerd chucks found its way to me, and I know what Burnerd wants
for them. That gives me reason to beleive that they should go to the
chuck they belong to. I know that they do not mate with the chucks I
have.

In any case, as I have no other likely method of contact, I figured
that this may be worth a shot.

If you read this, send me an email with the serial number of the 3 jaw
chuck and your address and I'll mail them out to you.

Cheers

Not me, but there can't be too many of us here in Victoria. I'll save
this post and if I ever meet a Myford owner here I'll ask...

That'd be the post that the guy replied to, alright. I'm pretty certain
he was mainly a lurker here, and he replied by email directly. I think I
will have to root out the remnants of my 486 in the garage and see if
the emails are still buried there.

So, I found my old computer, ripped out the drive, hooked it up to my
current box.... Boots OK, I go rooting about, come up with a name and an
email addy.Remove old HD, all seems well.

Two and a half hours, and a reinstall of win98 later, I have my box
running again. Dunno what happened but something did.

Anyway.
The guy's name is Jim Pike and the email address is no good (was a
@home.com address). I googled for him on groups and may have found him,
we'll see if I got the right guy and if he still has the lathe.
