Does anyone think Gunner isn't brain-damaged?

We all know the sad case of Gunner's brain situation. But aside from making
a scene every time a Democrat goes off the rails, don't you wonder how many
of those criticizing Kennedy are themselves drug addicts and alcoholics? We
already have seen what a hypocrite the drug addled Rush Limbaugh is, and to
make matters worse, he's on record as being for harsh and extreme penalties
for people committing drug related crimes, with himself excepted. I expect
that the same is true for those right wingers coming down on Kennedy for his
drug problems. They probably have the same problems, but being hypocrites,
they take the opportunity to come down on someone else whenever possible.
Which only goes to show their complete lack of character.

So what? Not many drug addicts have the cash to doctor shop and
fraudulently obtain prescriptions for controlled drugs. Either they have
health insurance, which would detect the crime, or they're broke, so they
can't do it. It's still a felony, though. He also had the money for an
interlocutory appeal to the FLSC, who's order protected Limbaugh's privacy
rights, so they were not violated. Freedom of the press is something
Limbaugh relies on, so he's in no position to complain about it now.
Lastly, you assume without any evidence whatsoever that the Prosecutor
"couldn't get and indictment," just because, as in about 90% of cases,
Limbaugh was able to negotiate a plea deal.

Limbaugh got fair, even generous, treatment in his felony case. Any claim
to the contrary is just so much partisan whining.

Snicker...Jeff..claiming that it was fair, is just so much partisan
denial.

"The importance of morality is that people behave themselves even if
nobody's watching. There are not enough cops and laws to replace
personal morality as a means to produce a civilized society. Indeed,
the police and criminal justice system are the last desperate line of
defense for a civilized society. Unfortunately, too many of us see
police, laws and the criminal justice system as society's first line
of defense." --Walter Williams
