There was someone who posted here several years back that said he
regularly made new fingers for these out of "plow steel". C1045 alloy he
thought. His email was: catruckman@aol.com, and his sig was:

I tried contacting him about getting some custom fingers for my 12" brake
several years ago, but never connected.
