Have instrument head* screws become obsolete ?
Googling failed to produce one supplier.
I 'm after a couple of dozen 2BA X 0.5" slotted
in either stainless steel or chrome-plated.

* The ones that are countersunk but with a
slightly domed head.

Do a search for Raised Head Countersunk, I Googled a couple of pages
of hits, mostly metric. I hate to say this, but at a push you could
perhaps use M5 for 2BA - yeah horrid I know, but ports and storms etc.

...or even 3/16" BSF, which is probably closer though maybe no easier
to find.

BA was obsolete in 1965 or 66 i think, havent specified any on a
drawing at work since 1976 so i would expect they are getting rare.

We still use BA on transformers, and things like the Red Spot fuseholders which
won't take the head of an M5 screw as the moulding was designed for BA.

We have 2BA in cheeeseheads X 1/2", about 4000, as we did a bulk buy for the
fuseholders, but the raised countersunk one is/was peculiar to the 19" equipment
rack world and equipment that was made in Admiralty Grey BS381C Shade 687.

I've got something in the workshop with a load of chrome BA stuff in it, but
I'll have to find it first and have a look through. No promises.
