Thanks to all who replied. I will follow suggested routes.
I only need two axis movement for simple but repetitive production work in
large plates of steel, mainly drilling countless holes.
My aim is to be able to have pre written programmes so that unskilled can
simply load the relevant prog and run the job, as opposed to having skilled
re prog for each job.
The MDI is old, but its size is suited, as is its "basicness", for the sort
of work we do.
