I've got a standard round column Mill/Drill which I got from Warco maybe
three years ago now, time flies. Is there likely to be any adverse effect
in using cogged drive belts rather than the standard "A" section belt?

Reason I asked is that the smallest motor pulley (sheave?) diameter is way
less than the spec for an A section belt and hence slips, a cogged belt
would be more capable, but not sure if the finish would suffer.

Personally would have thought not. Cogged raw edge belts from Fenner
or Gates are not that pricey. I would give it a go. If you do detect
finish problems then change back to the original. I assume that the
original does not slip on finishing cuts?
