Removing dried out grease in grease lines dm 04-15-2008

Having just acquired a mill (elliot 00) which has been left standing for at
least couple of years all of the grease has dried up and since this had
grease lines from remote grease nipples I am faced with tny pipes full of
candle wax.- Any hints / techniques on freeing them up e.g. heating ,
solvents etc... that have worked well for you

ive tried all sorts of solvents out in the past to remove old grease
from bearings .

the only stuff that worked well was petrol .

A pressure grease gun will push the old stuff outand clean the tubes...
