I bought some old bottles. The O2 was hydroed in 96. It has gas in it. I
feel I can use that up, and it will be okay. What about the acetylene? Is
it still good after 5 years +?

I'm still cutting and welding occassionally with a bottle I filled close to
8 years ago. (big bottle) It is almost empty though finally.

I suspect you will get an unpleasant surprise when you find out how much the
refill costs.

Good luck, YMMV

Yeah.... I've checked prices. If I did a lot of production I'ld probably
get a plasma cutter. As it is I cut more steel with a saw than a torch.
Since I finally got a little bit of a handle on my baby MIG I almost never
braze or weld with my torch anymore. Still... I'll probably refill it.
There are some really thin metal patching projects that are easiest for me
with a torch.
