Posted by John on April 24, 2008, 8:25 am Please log in for more thread options Your biggest problem is low electrode voltage. It may be 30V off load but that probably drops by 50% on load. Then you need to shorten the arc, then the rod sticks, then the arc stops....... It all sounds like my first welder. I didn't realise just how bad it was untill I got a good one.
