Having supervised a very large number of humans and observing their
activities:
Sometimes you just need "ass" to get something done. Lifting 90# bags of
Portland is best for the bigger guys in the crew. Then I have seen lots of
smaller guys who could do amazing things with leverage, rigging, common
sense, and good old gravity.
Demanding physical performance from someone who just can't do it is
ludicrous. But, as I was taught by a Navy Seal in diving training, one can
be amazed by what they can do when they get stuck in a corner. We've all
heard of the housewife who lifted the tree off the infant.
My opinion is: pound for pound, men are stronger. And as far as the sexes
go, women are more likely to quit and stop trying before men do.
You missed an important point.
If she was listening, and otherwise tried

People who know it all already don't listen well. There is no trying to
work well with other people. "Do or not do" - Yoda to Luke Skywalker.
But anyone who says because they're a _____________ (you fill in the blank)
isn't asking to be judged on their performance or attitude.
YMMV.
God, that was lifetimes and worlds away. Now my biggest worry is gophers
and tree borers.
The more I'm around humans, the more I appreciate my dogs.
